Client: Saxony Indiana Development Map

Background: Saxony is the new 750-acre, mixed-use development in Hamilton County, Indiana, that is planned to include diverse housing, multiple office districts, and unique retail opportunities within a pedestrian-friendly, vibrant neighborhood. Saxony is community unlike any other in the greater Indianapolis area.

The Project: The old map used popup windows for each region and poor quality images. A new map was required to show all the features of the new development. This new map, utilising Flash/ActionScript and XML technology is interactive as well as dynamic in the way new modules (building locations) can be plugged in. Features include zooming, mouse and keyboard navigations, map key, intelligent location highlighting (colours match map key), street labelling, drop down location selection, location images, location information and more details link. All these features are designed to fit the current site branding.

To summarise: Saxony Indiana now have the tools they require to successfully advertise their development, allowing users and customers to browse in depth and detail and find exactly what they were looking for.

Visual Style Skin: Prototype

Prototype is a high contrast greyscale skin with orange highlighting for WindowBlinds XP and my very first attempt at fully skinning an operating system.

DesignLegion Portfolio

Recently we started development on a complete portfolio redesign for both web and print. Once launched, the new system will have improved efficiency and usability, case studies on selected pieces.

The overall purpose is to put the spotlight of the actual function of a portfolio. The work being done here is not only for designLegion but part of a masterplan to revolutionise portfolio attributes. Expect updates in the future.

Design Legion Client Management

We have started work on one of our biggest projects yet: a client management system. It has been long overdue as the previous 'system' had to be prepared manually. The new system is fully automated, written in php and utilising mySQL databases, is only partially complete but will have a wide range of features.

On the back end, the control panel allows the addition of new clients, usernames, passwords and package information. Files for each package are also uploaded through this system. Information can also be edited and deleted.

On the client side, a client must login with their assigned username and password. Once logged in the client will see and update their contact information, see a progress report, manage payments, make requests on individual files, sign online agreements, view their quote, see screenshots of progress and download the source files for their project.
